PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a line pressure controller for a continuously variable transmission capable of setting a target line pressure to prevent the slipping on a power transmitting route in the continuously variable transmission even when a vehicle moves backwardly on an up-slope. SOLUTION: When a speed detected by a speed detecting means 53 is within a low speed zone, a predetermined specific fixed torque ratio is used for a torque ratio detected by a torque ratio detecting means 53B, and the torque to be input to the continuously variable transmission is computed on the basis of the fixed torque ratio and the engine output torque detected by an engine output torque detecting means 53A, by an input torque computing means 53D. |
