PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for contents information deciphering which can accurately reproduce (decipher) ciphered contents information only under regular restrictions. SOLUTION: Contents information is deciphered by using information on which a 1st key including ID information set as to obtain a specific authenticator value by a specific degeneration function is based and ciphered contents information generated by ciphering the contents information by using the 1st key generated from the information on which the 1st key is based and the specific authenticator value.
