PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photo sensor system and its sensitivity setting method which properly set an optimum sensitivity for satisfactory read of a subject picture in various circumstances in a two-dimensional sensor system. SOLUTION: Advance read operation to read a subject picture while changing the picture read sensitivity of a photo sensor array 100 by individual rows is performed, and read picture data has high frequency components (abnormal value) eliminated by Fourier transform in an abnormal value elimination part 124, and a dynamic range of lightness data in each row and its linear differential value are calculated in a data comparator 124 and an adder 125 on the basis of measured data from which the abnormal value is eliminated, and the image read sensitivity set to the row which has a maximum dynamic range and a minimum linear differential value of the dynamic range is extracted and is set as the read sensitivity for normal image read operation. |
