COPY PREVENTING METHOD IN BROADCASTING RECEIVER

PURPOSE: A copy preventing method in a broadcasting receiver is provided to determine the transmission of record programs after transferring a signal for confirming whether a recorder connected to the receiver conforms to a CGMS(Copy Generation Management System). CONSTITUTION: In a first step, a predetermined verification signal for confirming whether a recorder connected through a current cable is a recorder conforming a copy preventing rule is transferred when a settop box is powered on. In a second step, the recorder transfers a confirming signal for representing that the recorder conforms the copy preventing rule after the verification signal is received. In a third step, the settop box determines whether audio/video signals for record are output in accordance with the input status of the confirming signal. In a fourth step, the recorder copies the video/audio signals transferred from the settop box.
