The invention relates to an optic coupling system for linking a fiber-optic waveguide (11) with two optoelectronic components (2, 3) disposed on a substrate (1) with an interposed beam-splitting layer (10). The light incidence or light emersion surface (16) of the first optoelectronic element (2) is disposed perpendicular to the substrate (1). The aim of the invention is to configure the coupling system either as a bi-directional transmitter and receiver module or as a mono-directional transmitter or receiver module. To this end, the light incidence or light emersion surface (17) of the second optoelectronic element (3) is disposed in parallel to the substrate (1) and the beam-splitting layer (10) is disposed on a surface (7; 21; 107) that is arranged above said second optoelectronic element (3) at an angle of approximately 45 DEG with respect to the substrate (1).
