An electronic timepiece with indication hands having the functions to control the reciprocating operation ranges of the indication hands and thus enabling the provision of various indications, comprising time indicating hands (101, 102) indicating time, first and second indication hands (103, 104) installed separately from the time indicating hands (101, 102), a motor (200) rotating in forward and reverse directions alternately a specified amount at a time, a train wheel which transmits the rotation of the motor (200) so as to reciprocatingly rotate the first and second indication hands (103, 104) in the directions reverse to each other within the specified ranges, a support part which supports wheels constituting the train wheel, and a control means controlling the rotation of the first and second indication hands (103, 104) to specified control ranges by controlling the rotating range of the wheels (211) contained in the train wheel, wherein a space is formed in the support part in place of the wheels (211) of which rotating range is controlled by the control means so as to arrange the other wheels (229) so that the other wheels (229) can be arranged in the train wheel.
