<p>A processing system is disclosed. The processing system processes a plurality of commands for a peripheral system (125). A command source generates at least a first command stream (410A) and a second command stream (420A). A portion of the peripheral system (125) is responsive to the second command stream (420A). The processing system (110) includes a command segregation module (210) that receives the plurality of commands from the command source, the command segregation module (210) also segregates each command into the first command stream (410A) and the second command stream (420A) and inserts synchronization commands into the first command stream (410A). The processing system (110) also includes a command integration module (220) that receives the first command stream (410A) and the second command stream (420A). The command integration module (220) integrates the first command stream (410A) having the synchronization commands and the second stream (420A) so that there is a single, linearized command stream. One or more execution modules (240A) of the processing system may now execute the linearized command stream. A method for processing a plurality of command streams is also disclosed.</p> |
