The method involves reversibly attaching electrically conducting adapters (21,22) in a separate preparation line to the body (10), attaching the separate plastic parts (19,20), then introducing the body with the adapters and plastic parts into the normal production line. The body is passed through cleaning, filing and painting lines, then the adapters and the painted plastic parts are removed before the body enters the assembly line. The plastic parts are transported to further assembly points and the adapters returned to the preparation line. Independent claims are also included for the following: an arrangement for implementing the method.
