The lift cage(2) is motored upwards or downwards on at least one vertically free hanging spindle(3), with the spindle or spindle nut(34) being driven. The spindles loaded only in tension are suspended in an upper suspension point in a ball socket(32) and supported and cushioned by an elastic component(33) with torsional fixing. The drive motor(42) is installed on the lift cage by an intermediate plate(41) and drives the spindle nuts synchronously by a drive component(43).
