PURPOSE: An excessive engine revolution change is prevented in idle driving condition by controlling fuel amount. CONSTITUTION: In a method for injecting fuel when idle driving of a vehicle, an engine rpm sensed in an idle driving condition is filtered. The variation of the filtered engine rpm and the object rpm is calculated. The calculated variation is compared with a predetermined engine rpm compensation. In case when the calculated variation is over the set engine rpm compensation, if the filtered engine rpm is more than the object rpm, the fuel injection amount is compensated to be reduced. If the filtered engine rpm is less than the object rpm, the fuel injection amount is compensated to be increased. The engine output is controlled by the fuel injection compensation, and the sensed engine rpm is filtered. The engine rpm variation of the filtered engine rpm and the object rpm is calculated and compared with the engine rpm compensation.
