The invention relates to a method and a device for identifying molecules present in a carrier liquid. Said carrier liquid is located in a container arrangement that is provided with two electrodes, these electrodes being connected to a source of electrical high-frequency energy whose frequency can be modified through a wide range. The molecules can be identified by their absorption resonance frequency.
