<p>Two threaded spindles (15,16) run in a threaded sleeve (14) and act on the ends of the shoes (10,11) against a tension spring (22). A reset lever (13) rotates the sleeve through a ratchet (18) and pawl (17) system. The lever is connected through a cable (19) and spring (23) system to the drums so that as they are actuated it moves the pawl and if the movement is sufficient, i.e. due to pad (4,5) wear, rotates the sleeve to compensate for the wear.</p> |
