A tooth brush holder having a housing (11) with a receptacle (12) therein for receiving a toothbrush (13). A cover (14) is mounte d for rotation about said housing. The cover (14) has an opening in alignment with the receptacle. The housing includes facilities for closing the receptacle when the toothbrush is removed so th at the user cannot replace it until a predetermined time has elapsed.
