PURPOSE: A method for controlling an electronic throttle valve is provided to induce the stable running by studying a pressed degree of an accelerator pedal and collectively processing various operation conditions of the driver so that comfortability and convenience in driving can be improved. CONSTITUTION: A method for controlling an electronic throttle valve comprises a first step for determining whether the output from an accelerator pedal sensor satisfies the condition of the learning control mode, a second step for starting the learning control mode if the output from the accelerator pedal sensor satisfies the condition of the learning control mode, a third step for determining the current pressed degree of the accelerator pedal and the learned pressed degree of the accelerator pedal are more than a predetermined reference value, a fourth step for subtracting a predetermined value from the learned pressed degree of the accelerator pedal if the current pressed degree of the accelerator pedal and the learned pressed degree of the accelerator pedal are more than predetermined reference value, and a fifth step for adding a predetermined value to the learned pressed degree of the accelerator pedal if the current pressed degree of the accelerator pedal and the learned pressed degree of the accelerator pedal are less than the predetermined reference value.
