<p>The assembly to process raw cotton and/or cotton seeds has a processing chamber (1) for the material, with a rotating shaft (4) which carries rotating disks. The disks have an abrasive cladding around their circumference on one and/or both sides. The outer circumference of each disk is rounded towards it side surfaces, and has a tapered cross section to take the abrasive coating which is thicker than the taper depth so that the cladding projects from the disk sides. The circumference of each disk can be fitted with teeth, with the abrasive cladding confined to the leading flanks of each tooth. The processing tools can each have two neighboring disks, with their facing outer edges angled towards each other so that they fit into each other. A spacer is between the disks, to give a variable gap between them. The abrasive disk cladding has a ring shape on one or both sides of the disks, using different abrasive granules in a rounded abrasive surface.</p> |
