The door access control unit has a speaker and speaker built into a single housing. The main part of the housing is in the form of a plate [12] with integral curved sidewalls [11]. Set into the housing is a plate on which is mounted the loudspeaker [22] and microphone [21]. A circuit board is located [25] behind the front panel [28].
