The invention concerns a sliding frame for a patio door, said frame (10) comprising a doorframe (14) and two operating sashes (16) one of which at least is sliding, each operating sash (16) including in particular a centre post (Mc) and a side post (Ml), the latter being designed to co-operate with a side post of the doorframe (14), and a closure device (25) designed to lock the two operating sashes (16) in position when the patio door is closed. The invention is characterised in that the closure device (25) is located at the centre post (Mc) of each operating sash (16).
