PURPOSE: A hydraulic control system for a continuously variable transmission is provided to improve control efficiency and power transmission by supplying each hydraulic pressure to a reverse brake and a forward clutch according to capacity of torque. CONSTITUTION: A hydraulic control system includes a torque converter control unit(1) controlling hydraulic pressure from an oil pump with a regulator valve, and supplying hydraulic pressure to a torque converter and lubricating parts of a transmission; a continuously variable transmission control unit(3) supplying line pressure from the regulator valve to a driven pulley of the transmission and hydraulic pressure through a speed ratio control valve to a driving pulley; and a forward/reverse control unit(5) having a clutch feed valve, a clutch control valve, an N-R/N-D valve and a manual valve. Power is transmitted efficiently by supplying each hydraulic pressure according to transmission torque.
