The invention relates to a method for controlling the motion of at least one electromotor driven part of a motor vehicle. The aim of the invention is to allow for a reliable and safe motion of the movable part of the motor vehicle in a simple manner. The user instruction to move an electromotor driven part triggers a bidirectional signal transmission between the remote-control unit and the vehicle by means of encoded transmission signals. The signal propagation time is determined as the time difference between certain transmission signals and is evaluated. In at least one electromotor driven part a decision is made, based on the evaluation of the propagation time, regarding the release of the electromotor driven part of the vehicle. The invention further relates to a method for controlling the closing process of the side-windows of a motor vehicle.
