An unsaturated monocarboxylic ester compound having at least one structure represented by the following general formula (1). In the formula, R<1> represents hydrogen or C1-6 alkyl; and R<2>, R<3>, and R<4> each represents hydrogen, C1-6 alkyl, aryl, aralkyl, cyano, fluorine, or furyl. The curable composition comprises (A) an unsaturated monocarboxylic ester compound having one or more structures represented by the above general formula (1) and (B) a polymerization initiator as essential components and optionally further contains (C) a diluent.
