PURPOSE: A method for converting an extension in a PBX(Private Branch Exchange) is provided to inquire subscriber information of an extension supplied from the PBX in real time, so as to easily converting an incoming extension call into an extension of a corresponding subscriber. CONSTITUTION: If an incoming call through an office line of a PBX(Private Branch Exchange) is detected, a ring signal is delivered to a predetermine extension, according to an incoming table set in the PBX. A speech path is formed with the extension responding to the ring signal. If a preset conversion button for converting the office line call into another extension is selected, subscriber information using an office line of the PBX is provided. If predetermined subscriber information is selected, the office line call is converted into the extension corresponding to the subscriber information.
