WATER-DISPERSIBLE OIL GELLING AGENT FOR SOLIDIFYING OIL SPILT AT SEA

PURPOSE: A water-dispersible oil gelling agent for solidifying the oil spilt at sea is provided, which can gel the oil spilt at sea as solid by distributing the agent to the area where oil is spilt without any damage to the ecological system of sea, thereby easily removing the oil spilt at sea. CONSTITUTION: The gelling agent is a latex consisting of 1-20 wt.% of an anion surfactant and grafted styrene-butadiene polymer prepared by grafting polymerizing monomer at styrene butadiene latex by a grafting rate of 1-100 %, the polymerizing monomer comprising alkyl group having 4-18 carbons, the anion surfactant comprising alkyl group having 8-24 carbons.
