PURPOSE: A metal powder manufacturing apparatus is provided to enable simple manufacture of minute pure alloy powder in one process by using a specially designed rasp without melting a metal ingot. CONSTITUTION: An upper and lower frames(12,14) are arranged in parallel. A vertical frame(16) is extended between one end of the upper frame(12) and one end of the lower frame(14) for supporting the upper frame(12). A number of vertical columns(18) are arranged between the lower outside of the upper frame(12) and the upper surface of the lower frame(14). A mount(20) is installed at the middle of the vertical column(18) to be reciprocated, and fitted with a vice(22) for fixing a metal ingot(30). A mount driving means is arranged on the lower frame(14) to elevate the mount(20). A rasp(24) is mounted over the vertical column(18) to be horizontally reciprocated. A motor(50) generates energy necessary for reciprocal movement of the rasp(24). A power transmission means transmits energy from the motor(50) to the rasp(24).
