PURPOSE: A recording color level control device and video copying device using with the same are provided to control a color level. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the deterioration of picture quality caused by a color signal. CONSTITUTION: A gain control amplifier(310) inputs a recording color signal, and amplifies the recording color signal to a gain which corresponds to a feedback gain control signal. A level detector(311) inputs an output signal of the gain control amplifier(310), and detects a peak level of the input signal as a determined period. A clipping unit(314) inputs an output of the level detector(311) to intercept a signal below a determined level, then outputs a setup level value, or applies the input signal. A comparator(315) inputs an output signal of the clipping unit(314) to compare the output signal with a determined reference voltage, then generates a gain control signal corresponding to a voltage difference between the determined reference voltage and the output signal of the clipping unit(314).
