PURPOSE: An exhaust gas purifying equipment using a wet filter made by pearlite stone powder is provided, which uses a wet filter made by pearlite stone powder of regular form having a porosity of 30-40 % and a length of 5-6 mm. The filter is excellent in air permeability and has a large contact surface area of water film with effluent gas, so that the filter can filtrate a large amount of exhaust gas of an engine without any increase in exhaust pressure of the engine. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises the followings: (i) a horizontal purifying cylinder (6) which has a gas inlet (8) at one side top, a water spraying nozzle (15) at the top near to the inlet (8), a gas outlet at the opposite side of the gas inlet (8) and a water discharge line (16) at the other side bottom; (ii) a wet filter of pearlite stone powder (5) installed in the purifying cylinder (6) near to the gas inlet (8) and beneath the water nozzle (15) that is connected to a pump (18) for spraying water to the wet filter; and (iii) a water supplying tank (19) installed on the purifying cylinder (6), the discharge line of which is connected to a fiber filter box (17).
