PURPOSE: A shadow mask of a cathode ray tube is provided to effectively reinforce strength of an available screen part by forming an inflection pattern in a particular part of an available screen part without affecting the landing property of an electronic beam. CONSTITUTION: In a shadow mask(2) of a cathode ray tube, an available screen part(4) having a plurality of apertures(2a) for passing beams is arranged opposite to a fluorescent film screen. A skirt part(6) is curved vertically to the four periphery of the available screen part. And, the skirt part is fixed to a mask frame. An inflection pattern part(8) occupies a desired area from the right and the left end parts of the available screen part toward a center to form a determined inflection pattern toward the direction.
