PURPOSE: A turret for a CNC(Computerized Numerically Controlled) machine is provided to compact a turret and to improve operability and quality by selectively driving a turn mill shaft for application of rotational force and clamping state for rotational control of a turret disk. CONSTITUTION: A turret(10) includes a clutch shaft(19) installed in the upper portion of a turret body(11) to receive power from a motor(15) for driving a turret disk(12) and a turn mill shaft(13). A turn mill gear(22) and a turret gear(23) are installed in front of the clutch shaft to operate the turn mill shaft and the turret disk. Auxiliary gears(34,35) are installed on an auxiliary shaft(33) mounted between the turn mill gear and the turret body. The auxiliary gear(35) for driving the turn mill shaft is perpendicularly connected with the turn mill shaft and engaged with a turn mill drive gear(41) mounted behind a turn mill drive shaft(40) engaged with bevel gears(36,37). The turret gear is engaged with an auxiliary turret drive gear(52) integrated with an auxiliary disk shaft(50) mounted on the turret body. The auxiliary turret drive body for rotating the turret disk is engaged with a turret drive gear(58) integrated with a turret disk drive shaft(57) fixed with the turret disk in front of the turret body. The turret disk and the turn mill shaft are selectively operated by using one motor. Rotation of the turret disk is selected by couplings(55,60,65) moving to the right and left directions. Therefore, a compact turret is realized. Moreover, improved operability and quality are obtained.
