The invention relates to a lollipop vending machine and a method for loading said machine. The vending machine consists of a display container (1) having a transparent outer cylindrical wall (10) comprising a plurality of vertical channels (2) arranged with their mouths facing toward the outer part, wherein the lollipops (CP) are piled in a slanted manner, each lollipop body (C) facing outward and located at a lower level relative to the corresponding stick (P). The container (1) can be rotated to selectively place each channel (2) on a unit dispenser (3) that is controlled by a coin selector (4) that is capable of releasing a lollipop (CP) into a delivery slot (8). In a preferred embodiment, the channels (2) are formed by stacked elements (11) that releasably and mechanically connected to one another. When empty, said elements (11) can be removed from the container (1), individually loaded and then stacked again into the container.
