PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare an elastic film that is recyclable, can be incinerated without emitting poisonous materials and has excellent returning characteristics after stretching so that it can be used for various parts requiring stretchability, and to provide an elastic string obtained by slitting the film. SOLUTION: This stretchable film is made of a polyether-ester block copolymer obtained by copolymerizing (a) a dicarboxylic acid component wherein its short-chain dicarboxylic acid component is an aromatic dicarboxylic acid and/or its ester-formable derivative, (b) a short-chain diol component that is an aliphatic diol and/or its ester-formable derivative and (c) a polyether glycol with a number average molecular weight of 400-6,000 that is a polyether comprising a long-chain diol component composed of a neopentylene oxide structure unit and a tetramethylene oxide structure unit with alcoholic hydroxyl groups at both ends. |
