PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for decomposing and removing organic compounds in exhaust gas, where organic compounds, particularly benzene, existing in exhaust gas, even in high concentration are efficiently photodecomposed into carbon dioxide and the removal efficiency can be maintained for a long time. SOLUTION: In a method for decomposing and removing organic compounds contained in a gas stream in the presence of a photolysis catalyst, silver- supported titanium oxide is used as the above photolysis catalyst. |
