PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To finely set timing of stopping motion of a carrying article, to flexibly correspond to changing of the carrying article and a carrier environment, shorten a carrier distance until stopping as much as possible, facilitate restarting motion and reduce cost of a device. SOLUTION: An elevating rod 22 is axially supported on an eccentric position of a rotating link 18 fastened on a shaft of rotation of a first gear 14, the elevating rod 22 furnished with a receiver 24 on an upper end part is inserted into a guide cylinder 23 axially supported on a main body of an electric stopper device 10, elevates while changing an inclination in accordance with rotation of the shaft of rotation, and when the elevating rod rises over a carrier surface, the receiver stops a carrying article while decelerating motion of the upper end of the elevating rod in the carrying direction. A hook 20 to accelerate starting motion by substituting it when the carrying article begins to restart is provided, and a motor is braked and controlled in accordance with carrier speed and weight.
