PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water transpiration measuring instrument which measures water transpiration from the surface of the skin of a human body by a ventilation capsule method, can objectively discriminate the stabilization of a base line or measured value, and can shorten the measuring time. SOLUTION: In the water transpiration measuring instrument 1A, a control and arithmetic unit 8A discriminates that the output values f(ti) (where, i=1, 2,..., n) of the instrument 1A with respect to a humidity sensor 4 when sampling is made n times at prescribed time intervalsΔt from an arbitrary point of time t0 after measurement is started are stable when the relation|f(ti)-f(ti-1)|<=a is met between the output values f(ti) and a reference output value (a) with respect to the range of fluctuation at stable time and a visual or aural displaying means displays the discriminated result.
