PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensor select state monitoring logic and a maintenance logic for generating a message related to an intermittent and in-range failure. SOLUTION: In one embodiment, a select state number 52 generates a change count 54 indicating the number of times of changes in flight. The select state number 52 generates a duration table 56 showing the length of time recorded in the considered state in flight. The maintenance logic 14 generates a maintenance message by using the output of a monitoring logic 12.
