PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disinfection/deodorization apparatus for waste gases containing organic matter-based malodorous and offensive components of such as garbage, food wastes, excrement of livestock and pets, and the like. SOLUTION: This disinfection/deodorization apparatus comprises a biofilter chamber provided with an intake for taking in waste gases containing organic matter-based malodorous and offensive components and a biofilter made of an adsorbent adsorbing malodor-decomposable microorganism and a photocatalytic filter chamber provided with an intake for taking in the waste gases passed through the biofilter chamber, a photocatalytic filter bearing a photolysis catalyst and an ultraviolet radiation means, and both chambers are combined back and forth. |
