PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid thin film forming device capable of forming a uniform very thin liquid film composed of liquid particles each having a prescribed fine particle diameter on the surface of a plate glass, a tile, a metallic plate, a synthetic resin plate or the like. SOLUTION: The liquid thin layer having uniform distribution is formed by discharging the fine liquid particles from a discharge port such as a spray nozzle of a fine liquid particle forming device, passing successively through a fine liquid particles 1st descending flow passage, a fine liquid particles ascending flow-passage and a fine liquid particles 2nd descending flow passage to be sorted and making the particles having the fixed particles diameter range reach the surface of a object to be coated, except extremely fine liquid particles. Next, the very thin solid coating film having the desired uniform distribution and uniform thickness is formed by solidifying by drying, chemical reaction or the like. When the liquid particles forming device is the spray nozzle, the liquid particles collide with a fine liquid particle collision plate to make the large sized liquid particles flow down along a liquid drop plate to discharge to the outside.
