PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly carry out supply and discharge of a plate member to and from a carrier base to move in the rectilinear direction and set this supply and discharge device in a small space. SOLUTION: This device is constituted of a supply device arranged in the traveling downstream of a chain member and a discharge device 15 arranged in the upstream, each of these both devices intermittently revolves and elevates synchronously with traveling speed of the chain member and has a revolving and elevating table 20 provided with a slide base 21 to be in parallel with a rectilinear traveling part of the chain member each time when it intermittently revolves and a slide hand 23 provided with a sucker to suck a plate member by positioning this slide base on a traveling passage of a carrier base 6 in a state where the slide base becomes in parallel with the traveling part in the rectilineal direction of the chain member on each of the slide bases, a dog 26 to be engaged with a slide hand and to push this hand is provided on each of the carrier base sides, and a return mechanism to return the slide hand pushed by the carrier base is provided on the slide base.
