The invention concerns a method for constituting a medical record (5b) for a pet (4) and for communicating the contents to veterinary practitioners (2) likely to be consulted by the successive owners (5) of said animal (4). Said method consists in assigning to each animal (4) and to each medical record (5b) a unique identification code (5a), recording (6b) in a data base (1) the medical record (5b), authorising said record (5b) to be read (7), via a communication network (8), in particular Internet, for any bearer of the identification code (5a), authorising said record (5b) to be written (10) by a veterinary (2), after verifying the identification code (5a) of the animal concerned listed in said database (1). Thus each pet has a computerised record which can easily be consulted and modified. |
