The invention concerns a method for managing and using an item (IBL) file (FC) in an information space of data stored in a database and capable of being classified in accordance with a plurality of classifying systems (CL1, CL2). Said method comprises for each item (IBL) several assigned classification codes (C1, C2) pertaining each to a classification system (CL1, CL2). It further comprises steps which consist in: assigning to each item (IBL) the property of constituting the smallest common part among different attributed classification codes; attributing to each item (IBL) a unique code (DFCC) which is particular to it; detecting those items (IBL) derived from the item file, which are related to n codes of n classification systems. |
