PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner for a vehicle cooling the head part and heating the foot part at the same time in a bi-level mode for improving comfortableness of a user and the like. SOLUTION: In the air conditioner for a vehicle, an evaporator and a heater core are arranged inside a duct in this order from the air flow directional upstream side, while a rotary air mixing door regulating an air quantity ratio between hot air passing through the heater core and cold air bypassing the heater core is arranged between the evaporator and the heater core. In this air conditioner, at least the upper part of the air mixing door is constructed as a means capable of controlling an air quantity of the bypassed cold air alone as against the lower part.
