PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable more highly sensitive and more highly accurate assay in wider region when assaying the amount of the target nucleic acid having a specific base sequence directly or by using an amplifying system. SOLUTION: A nucleic acid not concerning the detection or the amplification reaction of the target nucleic acid having the specific base sequence, and the internal standard material for the target nucleic acid directly, i.e., the nucleic acid except a primer, a probe and a nucleotide directly concerning the detection or the amplification reaction is added to a solution, a diluting liquid, a reaction liquid or a preserving liquid of the target nucleic acid having the specific base sequence, and the internal standard material for the target nucleic acid.
