PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develope a rolling method with which not only stripping property is improved but the quality of rolling with a sizing mill or a extractor mill is improved. SOLUTION: In a rolling method with a retract mandrel mill, a shell outside diameter meter is installed between a mandrel mill and the extractor mill or the sizing mill and, based on the measured value of the outside diameter of a shell with the shell outside diameter meter, the screw-down position of the roll of the extractor mill or the sizing mill is controlled.
