CARRIER FOR WATER TREATMENT, METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME AND WATER TREATMENT APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrier for water treatment capable of being stably used over a long period of time and excellent in durability, a method of manufacturing the same and a water treatment apparatus using the carrier for water treatment. SOLUTION: A thermoplastic resin is molded in a molten state and the molded resin is cut by any method selected from the group consisting of underwater cutting, hot cutting and mist cutting methods to be simply and certainly formed into a carrier for water treatment having a corner-free shape. This carrier for water treatment is not shaven at corner parts during water treatment and the pollution or rise in chemical oxygen demand(C.O.D.) caused by the shaven parts can be effectively prevented. As a result, microorganisms can be made to adhere and propagated stably over a long period of time to enable efficient water treatment.
