<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce current supply at the time of emitting light from an LED head in an electrophotographic printer employing a large LED head. SOLUTION: A print data control circuit 167 controls an LED head 13 to emit light twice for printing a line. At the first time emission of the LED head, about one half of print data is supplied, while being substituted by dummy data not existing in the original data, to an LED head emission control circuit 166. At the second time emission of the LED head, the part substituted by dummy data in the first time emission of the LED head is employer as print data and the part employed as the print data in the first time emission of the LED head is substituted by dummy data.</p> |
