PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sterilization method harming no human body at all and capable of entirely killing bacteria adhered to the surface of foods. SOLUTION: This method for sterilizing a food comprises soaking the food with an aqueous solution containing 10-30 wt.% of an Aureobasidium culture solution, pref.β-glucan 1,3-1,6 solution and >=0.8 wt.% of acetic acid and/or lactic acid for >10 min.
