PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fountain having the improved freedom to the installation site of a fountain unit and the improved freedom to the shape and the size of a water column. SOLUTION: The fountain device is provided with a nozzle 6 having spouting holes 16 and 17, a water charge tank 7 which is connected to the nozzle 6 and to which water is supplied, a water feed pump 26 for feeding water to the water charge tank 7 through a water feed pipe 27 having a check valve 28, an air charge tank 8 connected to the water charge tank 7 through a stop valve 13, a high pressure air supply source 20 for supplying high pressure air to the air charge tank 8 and a controller 5 for controlling to open and close the stop valve 13 and the water in the water charge tank 7 is spouted from the jetting holes 16 and 17 of the nozzle 6 by the high pressure air in the air charge tank 8 by opening the stop valve 13.
