TREATMENT METHOD AND TREATMENT APPARATUS FOR DISCHARGE GAS UTILIZING HEAT CYCLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the treatment quantity per power application by electric discharge in a decreased pressure in the case of treating NOx or VOC or generating ozone by electric discharge while advantageously saving energy to be consumed for decreasing pressure. SOLUTION: Electric discharge process is incorporated with a heat pump cycle; expansion (decrease the pressure) to heat absorption, compression and heat release. That is, after the pressure decrease, electric discharge is generated and some of the work load necessary for the next compressing step is recovered in the expansion step at the time of the pressure decrease. The energy converted to heat by the electric discharge is released in the heat releasing step following the compressing step. Such a cycle is repeated to carry out gas treatment.
