<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling method of thick steel plates by which the final planar shape is brought near to a rectangle by imparting a thickness distribution of a relatively simple cross-sectional shape. SOLUTION: In a rolling method of the thick steel plate by which rolling is performed by controlling the planar shape by imparting the thickness distribution in the width direction of a material, this method is a rolling method of the thick steel plate by which thick parts where thickness is thickened are formed in both end parts of the width and these cross-sectional shapes of these thick parts are formed into a trapezoid having oblique sides at least on the side of the middle part of the width. Furthermore, by determining a necessary cross-sectional area as the thick part based on the final planar shape which is predicted at a usual rolling, the cross-sectional dimensions of the trapezoidal thick parts are decided. Furthermore, by taking into consideration metal flow in the longitudinal direction caused by rolling after imparting the thickness distribution, the cross-sectional dimensions of the trapezoidal thick parts are decided.</p> |
