PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and method capable of stably storing articles in a low humidity atmosphere. SOLUTION: The automatic low humidity storage apparatus has a dehumidifying unit for dehumidifying the interior of a cabinet by intermittently subjecting desiccant to a regeneration process using a time control means. When humidity within the cabinet has reached a preset humidity, ventilation between the dehumidifying unit and the cabinet is shut off or permitted so as to maintain humidity within the cabinet at a constant humidity.
