<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size and weight of an optical print head while enhancing the heat dissipation effect and rigidity. SOLUTION: The optical print head comprises a substrate 22, a plurality of light emitting elements arranged linearly on the substrate 22, a rod lens array 23 arranged oppositely to the light emitting elements and condensing light emitted therefrom, a member 24 for supporting the rod lens array 23, and a 'U-shaped' heat dissipation plate 38 surrounding the substrate 22 and the supporting member 24 and dissipating heat generated from the light emitting elements. The heat dissipation plate 38 dissipates heat generated from the light emitting elements. Since heat can be dissipated from the bottom face and the opposite side faces of the optical print head, heat dissipation area can be widened to enhance heat dissipation effect and rigidity without increasing the dimensions of the optical print head and the size and weight of the optical print head can be reduced.</p> |
