PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a styrenic copolymer which maintains the excellent characteristics of SPS, has a good balance between the glass transition temperature and the melting point, does not generate a gel after a beat treatment, and can be injection-molded at low temperature, and to provide a method for efficiently producing the same. SOLUTION: This styrenic copolymer characterized in that the styrenic copolymer comprises repeating units (I) originated from styrene or a substituted styrene and 0.1 to 75 mol.% of repeating units (II) originated from a compound represented by the general formula: CH2=CH-R [R is C(R2=C(R3)(R4); R2 is H or a hydrocarbon group; R3 and R4 are each independently a hydrocarbon group; R2 and R3, R2 and R4, and R3 and R4 each may be bound to each other to from a ring], and in that the stereoregularity of the styrenic repeating units (I) is mainly a syndiotactic structure.
